JSC GEORGIAN CARD ANNOUNCES THAT CARD PORTFOLIO EXCEEDED 1MILLION CARDS
JSC Georgian Card - the leading payment solutions provider in Georgia, announced that card portfolio exceeded 1 Million and reached 1.014 Million in Q1-2008, 20% growth from Jan-08.
Currently JSC GC processing network covers 7 major banks in Georgia that comprises 60% market share of payment industry:
- Bank of Georgia
- Bank Republic Societe Generale Group
- Standard Bank
- HSBC
- BTA
- First British Bank
- Agroinvest Bank
The Bank of Georgia’s dominant portion in 1.014 Million card portfolio is figured out by 752,000 amounts.
With newly established branch in Batumi (opened in April-2008), JSC GC’s goal is to excel services in Georgian regions. GC total merchant network counts 3 000 point of sales outlets and 500 ATMs.
“The target for Q4-2008 is to reach 1.8 million cards and increase the merchant chain up to 4 500 outlets and 650 ATMs. We also plan to sign the service agreements with at least two new financial institutions” Nana Keburia CEO of JSC Georgian Card commented.
